▲ Leonid Asgaldjan (geb. 22.11.1942) war einer der ersten Militärkommandeure im Karabachkrieg Anfang der 1990er Jahre. Vor allem im Norden und Osten von Bergkarabach organisierte er die militärische Verteidigung der Armenier. Bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1992 war er Oberbefehlshaber einer im Juni 1991 gegründeten Befreiungsarmee. 27 Siedlungen wurden unter seinem Kommando befreit. Er prägte den Spruch: „Das hier ist Armenien, und damit basta!”

▲ Leonid Azgaldyan (born on 22.11.1942) was one of the first military commanders in the Karabakh War in the early 1990s. Especially in the north and east of Nagorno Karabakh, he organized the military defense of the Armenians. Until his death in 1992, he was commander-in-chief of a liberation army founded in June 1991. 27 settlements were freed under his command. He coined the slogan: "This is Armenia. And that's it!"
